Data-quality warnings

While the guest fills in the check-in form, RegistroViajero shows yellow warnings when it detects likely typos. These warnings do not block completion — they're advisory.

The only requirements that block the signature step are those imposed by the Ministry (last name 2, support number, minimum age, and a document number shaped like the chosen type).

Warning types

Warning	When it shows	Example

How they look

They appear as a yellow message under the affected field, with a warning icon. The field is not painted red (that's reserved for blocking errors) and the guest can hit Next without fixing it.

Why they're non-blocking

Royal Decree 933/2021 requires certain data fields. If the Ministry accepts them, so does RegistroViajero. Blocking the guest because of an unusually short street, an abbreviated address, or an oddly formatted email would prevent them from completing check-in when the data is probably correct. Instead, we ask the guest to review and move on if they're sure.

Requirements that DO block the signature step

Only these Ministry requirements block the signature screen:

• Age 14 or older — under-14s are exempt from full registration.
• Last name 2 — required if the document is DNI, NIE, or EU registration certificate.
• Support number — required if the document is DNI, NIE, or EU registration certificate.
• Document number format — DNI, NIE, and the EU registration certificate carry a nine-character Spanish number with a check letter. A number that doesn't fit is not saved: the guest sees the expected format and, where that option exists, the suggestion to pick Identity document from my country if the document is from another country. That second sentence is what tells "the number is mistyped" apart from "the document type is the wrong one".

If any of these are missing, the form tells the guest which field is needed —the support number, or the second surname with the instruction to enter a hyphen (-) if they only have one— and they must fix it before continuing.

What if the guest ignores the warnings?

The warnings a guest walks past reach you before you send, marked on the detail they are about. On the registration you see them in three places:

• On the field itself, as colour. Inside the guest's card, a detail the Ministry requires that is empty is painted red; a detail that has a value but looks like a typo is painted yellow. There are no asterisks: the colour is the only mark.
• Under each guest's data, a collapsible line — "1 required detail · 2 warnings · Show detail" — that expands into a list naming each field and the reason.
• In the status box, the registration total: "1 required detail · 2 warnings in the guest data. Each one is marked on the guest it belongs to." That line counts, it does not name: no guest, no field — the per-guest line does that.

Both lines carry the same warning triangle: red the moment something blocks the filing, yellow when it is only advice.

It's advice, not a block

The yellow warnings do not prevent validating or submitting. They're a heuristic: they can flag a value you know is correct. If so, submit without changing anything. Red does block: it's a detail the Ministry requires and it's empty. Blockers that don't depend on the guests — establishment code, SES credential — appear separately, in the status box's Blocks the filing with the Ministry block (see Validate and submit).

If you'd rather correct it:

1. Open the guest's card, click the pencil icon (Edit guest) and fix it yourself. See Filling in a guest's data.
2. Or unlock guest editing (only in Reviewed or Rejected states) and ask the guest to review the affected field.
3. Validate and submit again.

The marks disappear once the registration is Sent to Ministry, Confirmed, Archived, or Blocked: the data can no longer be edited there, and the only way to correct it is to annul the submission.

How to prevent them

The more time you give the guest before check-in, the less rushed the form and the fewer warnings. Share the link as soon as you create the registration, not at the last minute.
