Filtering and searching lists
All four RegistroViajero lists — Registrations, Guests, Properties, and Activity log — filter the same way. Learn the panel once and it works everywhere.
The row above the list
Above each list you get:
- A search box, which filters the list as you type. It is the quick way to shorten what you are looking at. (The Activity log has no search box; it filters by fields only.)
- Filters, which opens the side panel. If filters are already set, the button says so: Filters (3). Search counts as one of them, because it narrows just like the rest.
- Clear filters, which only appears when something is applied and brings the full list back (search included).
The Filters panel
Inside the panel are that page's filter fields. What you type or pick is not applied yet: it is a draft you can put together at your own pace.
At the bottom, the apply button tells you how many results you will get before you touch it: Show 26 results. If the draft selects nothing, it says that too (No results), so you do not have to apply to find out.
- The button is disabled when nothing is pending: if it is greyed out, the list already shows exactly that.
- While RegistroViajero recounts, the button spins but keeps the last number instead of going blank.
- Enter from any text field in the panel applies the filters, same as pressing the button.
- Esc closes the panel without applying anything.
- Clear filters is also inside the panel, next to the apply button.
There are two search boxes and they don't behave the same
The one outside the panel filters as you type. The one inside the panel waits until you apply, like every other field there.
That is deliberate: the number on the button is the result of the complete draft. A search box that reloaded the list on its own would contradict that count. Both are the same filter — what you type in one shows up in the other — and Clear filters empties both.
Exporting what you filtered
On the Registrations and Guests lists, the panel also has an Export section at the end.
The export uses the filters you have set in the panel, without applying them. Before you click you can see how many results will be exported (26 results will be exported).
This lets you export without losing your place: for example, pull the reports for registrations already confirmed by the Ministry while the screen still shows the ones you have left to review. See Exports.
What you can filter on each list
| List | Panel fields | Search | Export |
|---|---|---|---|
| Registrations | Properties, Status, Check-in / Check-out, Only overbooking | Yes | Reports (.zip), Registrations (.csv) |
| Guests | Status | Yes | Guests (.csv) |
| Properties | Status | Yes | — |
| Activity log | Actor, Properties, Actions, From / To | No | — |
The Properties and Actions selectors take several options at once and have their own search box inside, for when the list is long.
Global search is a different thing
Each list's search box filters that list. To jump straight to a registration or a guest from any screen, use global search with ⌘K or Ctrl+K.
